When you signed in, you should have been given a copy of the Senior Options Information booklet. If you were unable to attend, we will post one out to you.
The form for selection of programme choice for senior cycle is below. Should you be choosing Leaving Cert Applied (LCA), please note that part of the application process for this is having to sit an interview.
The interview is a crucial step in our selection process, and I would like to offer some guidance to help you prepare effectively. During the interview, you may be asked a variety of questions, and I recommend that you reflect on the following examples:
1. Why did you apply for this programme?
2. Tell me a little about yourself.
3. What do you want to do after you finish school?
4. Explain what you think you would be doing in LCA/Explain your understanding of what the LCA Programme is.
5. What does continuous assessment mean?
6. Describe any strong qualities that you feel will benefit you in the LCA Programme.
7. What would you like to do for your work placement?
8. Tell me about your attendance record.
9. What does a contract mean?
10. Tell me about your behaviour record in school to date.
11. Give an example of when you had to meet a deadline.
12. Is there anything in LCA that you think you might find difficult?
13. Have you any questions that you would like to ask about the LCA Programme.
Please take the time to prepare thoughtful responses to these questions, drawing on your experiences and ambitions.
Interviews for the programme will be held on Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th &Wednesday 17th of December 2025.
